Abstract
This paper is concerned with the behaviour of certain eoUocation projection norms. It is shown
that the norms of the piecewise collocation projection and the usual piecewise interpolating projection are
asymptotically the same. A similar result is shown for the global ease if the collocation points are chosen
as Tchebycheff zeros with some restrictions on the coefficients of the differential operator.
